hugh grant was kissing sandra bullock.
i pointed at the tv and said,
"i want to be kissed just like that."
his lips were sliding over hers and
his hand was in her hair and
i didn't really think anyone was listening.

we walked hand-in-hand back to my car,
standing so close together that i could have sworn
we were one person. the sky was glittering
and i know it sounds cliché, but i could feel the magic
in the air. it's hard not to be a hopeless romantic
when you look at me with those eyes.

you hugged me, and it was just your average hug
until you kissed me. your fingertips led my lips
to yours and your other hand was at my waist and
i wanted to yell why isn't anyone taping this
because you were kissing me like a movie star and quite honestly,
i've never been happier to be kissing you and not hugh grant.
